Fees

Netcare Nursing Colleges only accept payments by direct deposit only. However, two payment options are available to selected students. The first payment option is complete payment before program commencement while the second payment option is Deposit & monthly installment.

Tuition Fees in Netcare is estimated at R70,000 per academic year and it includes cost of study materials, SANC accredited programmes, SANC registration as a student, initial SANC examination fees and resource centre utilisation. Tuition Fees in Netcare excludes compulsory items like uniforms, textbooks and Laptops with software & data for study purpose.

Online Application to Netcare Nursing Colleges

To apply to a Netcare Education campus, applicants must first meet all of the admission requirements of theย  College to be considered further into the phase where the institution’s selection criteria. Only applicants whose National Senior certificate meets the college’s requirements may apply to participate in the pre-selection assessment process.

Netcare Education Nursing applicants can then go ahead to www.kreducationsa.com to complete their online application. KR Education is Netcare Education’s Logistics partner that helps to manage the nursing application process on behalf of the college.

Applicants are required to pay an application fee of R490 to KR Education and provide the following documents during the online application:

1. Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.

2. Identify Document which could be an ID, Passport, Study Permit, or Asylum seeker’s permit.

3. South African Nursing Council registration certificate where applicable.

4. Current South African Nursing Council licensing certificate where applicable.

5. Completed application form for pre-selection.

6. Netcare Hospital Employees are required to provide a hospital permission letter.

After the submission of the application form & required documents, selected applicants will receive confirmation of the date and specific arrangements of the pre-selection assessment from KR Education.

Selected applicants for the pre-selection assessment are required to pay an additional R350 before the pre-selection assessment. The proof of payment must be submitted to KR Education before selected applicants will be allowed to access the pre-selection assessment. This pre-selection assessment is conducted as advised by KR Education all through the year for successful applicants to be considered for the next available intake.

To qualify for direct entry to the Higher Certificate Netcare Nursing Program, applicants must obtain a minimum of 60% average with a sub minimum of 50% for each area assessed during the selection process.

To qualify for Direct entry to the Diploma in Nursing Program, applicants must obtain a minimum of 70% average with a sub minimum of 60% for each area assessed during the selection process. The Minimum criteria may be subject to change following formal review & governance process.

Applicants who didn’t obtain the approved average mark percentage will not be considered. The assessment outcome will be provided by KR Education to the applicant via mail after a formal selection & recruitment governance meeting within 6 weeks of completing the assessment. Netcare Education will then inform successfully selected applicants when registration takes place.

Final communication to successful applicants who will be accommodated for the 2025 session will be confirmed by each campus towards the end of October/November 2024. Successfully selected candidates should only communicate with the campus that reached out to them after feedback has been received.

Applicants are not allowed to rewrite the assessment if they failed the first time they wrote it. However, if any applicant encountered any challenge during the pre-selection assessment, they should contact KR Education via Whatsapp or Email and a consideration of re-assessment can be made based on the result of the investigation of concerns reported at the discretion of KR Education.

Admission Requirements of Netcare Education

The minimum Requirements for entrance into the Netcare Nursing College are stated below:

For a Higher Certificate in Nursing, a National Senior Certificate that grants admission to the Higher Certificate program or an equivalent qualification at a National Qualification Framework (NQF) exit level 4 with a minimum of 40% each in English, Mathematical Literacy & Life sciences.

For a Diploma in Nursing, a National Senior Certificate with a minimum of 40% each in English, Mathematical Literacy, Life Sciences, Computer Literacy at NQF level 3, and one other subject with a credit level of 20 from the designated subject list as outlined by the Department of Education is required.

Additionally, an applicant with relevant health related qualification at NQF level 3 or 4 like an Auxiliary Nurse and have met the institutional selection criteria may be granted entry into the Diploma in Nursing Program.

International Students are required to provide the following original certifiedย  documents:

1. A South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) evaluation certificate of their highest School Certificate and other qualifications. Only qualifications with NQF Level 4 will be considered.

2. A current & valid study permit from the National Department of Home Affairs.

3. A foreign workforce management letter of endorsement to study from the Department of Health.

4. The legal documents like Marriage certificate or affidavit in a case of disparity in the names registered.

5. A valid passport or a valid refugee status document or a valid asylum seeker document expiring not earlier than 6 months after the projected completion of the program.
